my story

your partner in life transitions and leadership

My name is Michele Tevis, a certified Life Transitions and Leadership Coach, and I help women who are at a fork in the road with their professional and personal lives find what makes them happy!

My passion for coaching started at Apple. I was employed at Apple for 30 years as a Senior Leader, which has positioned me to understand the challenges leaders face. I have juggled competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering positive results through my team and cross-functional organizations.  I know the challenges and obstacles leaders (and especially women leaders) are facing in today’s work environment, and I am passionate about helping you to overcome these challenges.

I’ve experienced successes and setbacks in my life and career and life that aren’t unique to me.  And that’s given me insight and perspective on the many challenges women face balancing home and career. Navigating the peaks and valleys of my own life has led me to believe that we are all whole, healthy, and capable of being anything we want to be, with the right support. When I work with my clients, I ask them to dig deep so that we can mine their personal experiences to identify their goals, discover their strengths, and put together a comprehensive plan to pursue their passions.

Over the years, I have discovered that coaching isn’t about therapy or counseling; it’s about taking control. I founded Insight2Empower Coaching and Consulting to pursue my gift for helping others find long-lasting personal and professional fulfillment.

how coaching found me

Part of the reason I am passionate about coaching and consulting is that I genuinely believe that if I had a coach, I would have found my calling sooner!  My long journey to business coaching began while I was working in upper management at Apple. It was there that I realized that colleagues often came to me for direction and leadership advice.

After years of helping those around me be the best they could be, I realized I had a gift for coaching, and decided to become a certified coach as my second career. During this training, I sharpened my pre-existing skills, and learned to utilize different leadership development resources for coaching execution geared towards individuals, teams, and organizations. I pride myself on my ability to listen well, communicate effectively, provide accountability, and inspire self-initiated change.

on a personal note

When I’m not working with clients, I like to spend time with my husband, Sid, my four daughters, one son, and nine grandchildren. My passions include traveling, interior design, and cooking, among other things. I have lived throughout California, but currently call the beautiful  Northern California home.
